BANKRUPTCY COURTS

1. Meet with an attorney and get a consultations
2. A bankruptcy petition will be prepared and can be filed electronically
3. Once the petition is filed, the court will schedule Creditor's meeting. That is the bankruptcy hearing date. Consult with an attorney to review your petition and to learn how to answer potential questions, the Trustee will ask.
4. Mail copies of Petitions to the US Trustee and the local Trustee.
5. If there is no problem or disoutes by creditors, you discharge letter should be received within 3-6 months.

Creditors may attempt to collect debts by filing motions to the bankruptcy court.
You will receive phone calls from creditors to check on representation.
